On 3rd February, our team at CK Assessment & Training had the pleasure of attending the Hertford Regional College Open Evening, where we met a fantastic group of prospective students and their parents who are considering a future in the plumbing and gas industry.

The event gave visitors the opportunity to experience the trade first-hand. Students got stuck into practical plumbing activities, spoke with our experienced tutors, and gained a real insight into what training with CK is like. For many, this was their first time using the tools of the trade – and their enthusiasm was clear to see.

For parents, it was a valuable chance to ask questions about career progression, apprenticeships, and the long-term opportunities available within the sector. With the demand for skilled engineers continuing to grow, it was great to highlight how a hands-on career can offer both job security and excellent earning potential.

Since the event, we’ve been delighted to welcome back several familiar faces for interviews – a true reflection of how important open evenings are in helping young people make confident, informed decisions about their future.
