Course Overview

Core Domestic Gas
Initial and reassessment for core domestic gas CCN1. Regular starts dates throughout the year. Training and assessment/reassessment.
All tools and equipment is provided to our students. Wide range of optional appliances & elements available, according to your needs.

Gas Foundation (New Entrants)
Suitable for those who want to become qualified gas engineers (either domestic or commercial). Successful completion of this programme, and building of a gas portfolio, allows you to take your core domestic or commercial gas assessments for entry to the Gas Safe Register.
Programme typically lasts between 25-40 weeks for day release training, depending on previous experience. Typically one day per week of day release training throughout the course and training for additional appliances/elements can be undertaken alongside or at a later stage. Numerous course start dates throughout the year.
Support with portfolio building and all tools & equipment will be provided to our students.

Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)
LPG changeover assessment and reassessment CONGLP-1. You must hold either a domestic or commercial gas core qualification to undertake this course. Course typically takes 2-4 days, including assessment.
Wide range of optional appliances/elements can be added to this course (PD, RPH, B, LAV etc). All tools and equipment provided.
Regular course start dates throughout the year.

Core Commercial Gas
Initial and reassessment for core commercial gas COCN-1. Can be combined with a wide range of optional elements or appliances.
Testing and purging (TPCP1/1A) available as an option or standalone. Course duration dependent on options selected, all tolls and equipment will be provided to students.

Core Commercial Catering
Core commercial catering CCCN-1 assessment and reassessment. Wide variety of optional appliances/elements available – COMCAT1, 2, 3, 5.
Course duration dependent on options selected, all tools and equipment will be provided to our students.
Numerous course start dates throughout the year.

Core Commercial Meters
Core commercial catering CMA-1 assessment and reassessment. Range of optional appliances/elements available – CMET-1, CMET-2.
Course duration dependent on options selected. All tools and equipment provided.
Numerous course start dates throughout the year.

Core Commercial Heating
Core commercial COCN-1 assessment and reassessment. Range of optional appliances/elements available – CGDA-1 Direct Fired Heaters, CIGA-1 Indirect Fired Heating Appliances, CORT-1 Overhead Radiant Tubes etc.
Course duration dependent on options selected, all tools and equipment provided to students. Numerous course start dates available throughout the year.

Core Domestic and Commercial Changeovers
Initial and reassessment for those changing over from domestic to commercial gas CODNCO-1.
Core commercial to domestic and domestic to LPG changeover also available. Wide range of optional appliances/elements available and course duration varies depending on the options selected.
All tools and equipment provided, numerous course start dates throughout the year.

Carbon Monoxide Investigations
CMDDA1 required to carry out investigations under BS 7967, following activation of a CO alarm or report of fumes.
This is a two day course and all tools & equipment will be provided. Numerous course start dates throughout the year, Please note this is not a sufficient qualification for carrying out investigations of fatalities or major incidents.

Other Courses
We offer a wide range of additional courses, qualifications and assessments, including the following. Unvented Hot Water systems (G3) courses (initial or reassessment) run regularly throughout the year for those with industry qualifications or experience.
Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 courses run frequently throughout the year and typically last one day.
Legionella Risk Assessment and Water Systems Disinfection courses run regularly for experienced engineers, and typically last one day. Energy Efficiency (Part L) courses run regularly for experienced central heating installers.
We are able to offer dedicated courses for employers who wish to refer multiple engineers for the same course.
